They were still assembling for a 1.30 start when I walked past. Apparently there were a few hundred of them later - but it's still Edinburgh, we don't do protest very well. Unless you count the big G8 march a few years back, but that was also because the summit was held in Scotland.
The G8 one was good right enough and I remember the massive anti-war one that culminated on the meadows, although I may be mixing them up in my mind. I suppose for students at lunchtime on a weekday a few hundred isn't a bad turnout after all!
