Cool turret on Newhaven Road
Every morning I pass this little turret on the end of a terrace on Newhaven Road. I've been meaning to take a photo of it for ages; it looks even better with the dark clouds behind it!
Turrets like this always have something very intimate to them. On the inside they're usually bigger than they look from the outside and one imagines what it would be like to be inside. Must be cosy. I like the windvane on top of this one.
The turret is certainly worthy of a photo. My attention is also taken by the bay windows in the attics, which are quite common in Scotland but not in England.

I'm so glad you finally took this photo. It's beautiful.
