Snow is here!

Well it's official; Britain is gripped by snow anxiety! For days now the forecasts have been warning us that blizzards from Russia were fast approaching. And this morning we finally got a bit of snow here in Edinburgh - apparently there's more to come today and overnight. On my way to work this morning I took a detour via Greyfriars' Churchyard for some photo opportunities - and got stuck in a true snowstorm at the other end of the graveyard!

I just got back to Abu Dhabi (23 deg C today) after a week in Edinburgh. I wanted to see some snow but missed out and wish I'd seen your photos before heading over - they're great!

Snow is very much here in Yorkshire, I have been out this morning to get some photos and will change tomorrows already drafted post to a snowy one.

So the Russians have been sending you their snow. They gave you a good helping of it then. :-) I hope you won't get too much of it. We're lucky not to have had any here.

Heavy snow in Paris this morning and then rain. Nothing left...

Hi Mrs Dido...
Your pic brings back so many memories. Back in the early 60s I went to George Heriots school (next to Greyfriars) and we often used to sneak into the graveyard for a sly puff!
