As promised, a couple of pictures of the exterior and the interior of the famous Spiegel Tent. If you want to see it, it'll be in George Square until tomorrow!
Spiegeltents are travelling pavilions used as dance halls, bars and entertainment salons. They were created in the early 20th century, and very few of these 'tents of mirrors’ are left today. This one is considered the most beautiful of the last remaining Belgian Spiegeltents. Built in 1920 by master craftsmen Oscar Mols Dom and Loius Goor, it travels between festivals and fairgrounds throughout Europe and beyond, playing host to artists, musicians and circus burlesque performers.

this is interesting. i'm not sure if i've been to any of these.
That is fantastic! What a beautiful tent! I've never seen it before...
Such vibrant color.
Very nice.
I was just dosing off, did someone say burlesque!!?
It's certainly more beautiful than the usual circus tent or marquee.
I had never heard of these elaborate tents before. Thanks so much for the pictures and story. This one is quite beautiful. It would certainly be fun to visit a show or display in such an environment.
I did wonder what building that was in the portal and to my surprise found this ornate marquee. Lovely rich hues.
