Runaway bride

On Friday I shadowed a professional photographer at a lovely wedding in the Clermiston area of Edinburgh. At one point we did a shoot in a very colourful busstop full of graffiti, but in order to get there we had to cross a very muddy and wet bit of grass! As you can see, the bride was a great sport.

Mr and Mrs McC (you know who you are) - many many congratulations!

A very charming shot of her lovely shoes and feet, skirt aloft. I think she'll treasure this one. How fun that you got to go behind the scenes with the pro. I've had that happen a few times informally. . .a bridal party and photographer will arrive somewhere I'm already shooting and begin doing location shots. I've just kept in the background and shot some candids. It happened yesterday evening again, in fact. I love seeing the different choices each couple makes, including who they hire to do their photography and that person's approach. Congrats to the happy couple!

Why on a professional level I don't do much wedding photography is very well demonstrated in this fabulous image. You have captured a marvellous sponatneous natural shot. Not contrived at all, which most wedding photography is.
