When I saw the thumbnail on the portal my immediate reaction was what a contrast to your pic of yesterday on which I delicately refrained from commenting - your grandfather is probably a lost cause anyway, once offended probably unlikely to be appeased (not that I know the gentleman).
You have wonderful pictures on your blog and lots of street scenes that I really like, but these two last ones are a must when you see them together! :-)

The portrait is clear and crisp...wonderful shot. Not that I prefer it, but the candid photo yesterday has to be one of my all-time favorites. I'm sure that I am as old as your grandfather so tell him to "lighten up"--just kidding about the last part. Is Granddad a Scot by any chance or someone who has more decorum than I? PS. Is she an actor or a real honest-to-goodness nun?
THe photo has a real feeling to it. A feeling of total absorption.
