Theme Day: Books

Some of the many, many books in our house, including the 'No 1 Ladies Dectective Agency' series by Edinburgh-based author Alexander McCall Smith (though I've just noticed that the first book in the series is conspicuously absent).

Douglas Adams, what a mind. If you can lay your mitts on a little book called the Meaning of Liff it's a must have for anyone with a wacky sense of humour.

Dido, perfect choice for Edinburgh. I've every one of the Ladies Detective Agency series and also some of the Scotland Street series. He's one prolic writer!

I have often spotted the Ladies Detective Agency books at the bookshop. Would you recommend them?

I like your theme day post.

I forgot about this being a theme day about books so I found several of the ones I wrote more recently and photographed and posted them.

Oh, and the wood of your shelf is beautiful too. Great idea to tie in your local author.
