Along the bottom of the Royal Mile there are some wonderful public gardens tucked away. This one is called Dunbars Close, my favourite one.

Just what every city needs, a little piece of tranquility. Beautiful image.
Unfortunately the garden is closed a lot. There appears to be some confusion as to who is opening it.So if you you do not want to face a closed gate telephone first. It is lovely though.
Lovely garden. It is better to telephone as it can be closed. Such a shame to see visitors trying to enter but the gate is padlocked.Try telephoning the council or Park Ranger and someone should come and open it. It can get missed if the person who opens it is off sick or various other reasons. L @ S
