Well there's no other word for it; the weather this weekend has been absolutely rubbish! Nevertheless, when it's the Wimbledon final you have to create your own little bit of summer, and there's no better way to do this than with the traditional combo of (Scottish!) strawberries and cream! Strawberries and cream
Well there's no other word for it; the weather this weekend has been absolutely rubbish! Nevertheless, when it's the Wimbledon final you have to create your own little bit of summer, and there's no better way to do this than with the traditional combo of (Scottish!) strawberries and cream! As I post this the rain has now also reached SW19 because a few minutes ago play was halted in the third set.

Ah, those berries look splendid with that cream. Looks like you have something like Cornish scalded/clotted cream there actually. My grandfather very rarely made that for us.
Scottish strawberries are the best I've ever tasted!
It was not just cream, it was M&S madagascan vanilla and vanilla liqueur cream... ;-)!
Dang it, I just remembered this was on. Turned it on and its going to a 4th set, so I guess I can see the ending.
